Introducing The Swipe Halo Fone Tablet

Swipe offers both a Smartphone and a Tablet rolled into one in the Halo Fone Tablet. And it is quite reasonable; the same price as the new Moto E. Released in March, 2014, it is a budget hablet, it claims to be handy, portable and easy to use. Let us take a closer look at this budget Tablet.


Hardware and Display

The Halo Fone Tab looks much like the standard Smartphone. The phone is slimmer than Swipe’s previously released smartphone at 10.9 mm. This makes it easier to carry from place to place. It is also much lighter than other Tablets, weighing only 313 g. The headphone jack is situated at the top of the device. The Tab also has built in speakers as well as a microphone that work pretty well.

One of the highlights of this design is that it has a 6.5 inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 Pixels resolution. Images are clear, vibrant and colorful. Additionally, it is 
The Tab has a 2MP primary camera that takes average photographs. The 0.3 MP front camera is fine for taking selfies. The phone also allows video chatting. Images can be stored in the 4 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB. That’s quite a lot of space, especially for a budget Tab such as this.

Software and Features

The Halo Fone Tablet runs on an Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. You can thus expect traditional apps, features and displays. It supports Bluetooth, WI-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G connectivity options, so you can transfer and receive files with relative ease. It also allows voice calling, it being a phone-cum-Tab.
The dual SIM Tab comes with several pre-installed apps including social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, a face recognition feature, audio recording, Skype and Flash Support 11.1. Being an Android phone, Google apps such as, Google Market Google Play, G-Sensor and Accelerator are easily available. There are also several business features including email, Document Viewer, eBook Reader. For easy navigation, the phone hosts a GPS, with Google Maps.

Battery Performance

The Tab uses a 2800 mAh battery, which allows around 6 hours talk time, you will definitely have to charge your phone multiple times a day if you plan on using it intensively. Such a battery life is quite impressive, considering its price. Other Tabs of a higher price range, however, have a better battery performance as well as additional features.

Price

It is the price that sets the Halo Fone Tablet apart from others. At only Rs. 6999, it is available online on Flipkart.

For its price, the Halo Fone Tablet is certainly worth it. However, when buying a Tab, it is important to look at its features as well as its price.
