Driverless cars may still be quite far away from mass-production, but that doesn’t mean that car makers are not making the most of what’s already available in that field. Luxury car makers are experimenting with driverless car technologies to make their cars even more appealing, and the results are nothing short of impressive. Here’s how some of the most renowned car makers make use of futuristic driverless car technologies right now.


Mercedes




Mercedes is one of the most popular names in the industry of luxury cars, and it’s no stranger to the world of car-technology either, so it’s no wonder the company dipped its toes into driverless car tech. After demonstrating the Intelligent Drive concept all the way back in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and showcasing its view of the future of driverless with the Mercedes F015 Luxury in Motion concept car at CES2015, Mercedes pushed beyond prototypes and started implementing driverless car tech in its production cars. As a result, 2017 Mercedes E-Class comes with the Drive Pilot System, which allows the car to follow the car in front of it, while on the highway, at speeds of up to 130 mph. Other technologies will allow the car to keep its lane, assist with switching lanes, help prevent accidents when performing evasive maneuvers and even communicate with other smart cars or infrastructure.

BMW





BMW is another prestigious car manufacturer that’s been playing with autonomous car tech, managing to make their cars do a whole lot more than just drive autonomously – they can drift autonomously. While this may sound like a feature only racing fans and maybe teenagers would enjoy, it does have some practical aspects in the real driving conditions as well – teaching a car how to drift autonomously basically means teaching it how to regain control when it swirls out of control due to a sudden maneuver. This is still a proof-of-concept technology, but there are plenty driverless car-specific technologies already present in BMW’s luxury line of vehicles, namely the 7 Series, such as autonomous remote parking and the Driving Assistant Plus suite of features. 

Porsche


Porsche is renowned for its iconic sports cars. It is also renowned for being against the whole driverless-cars trend. Be that as it may, it is still working on some interesting driverless tech and a fully-electric car, both facts indicating that the company can be full of surprises. The aforementioned self-driving tech aims to increase cornering speeds in order to preserve the car’s speed, and thus reduce fuel consumption by removing the need to decelerate and accelerate at every turn. With the system rumored to be able to handle cornering forces of up to 0.7G, it will be interesting to see whether the systems make it to Porsche’s luxury cars as well, or if it will be limited to its sport line for the extra thrill.

Volvo


Volvo is one of the key players in the driverless-car race, already testing self-driving cars in Sweden, with an ambitious project to put 100 self-driving cars on public roads in real traffic, across the world, in 2017. Before fully driverless Volvos are ready to take over, though, the company made the most out of some of the systems, so the 2017 Volvo S90 comes with a semi-autonomous driving system that allows it to keep its lane and speed, with its highlight feature being the fact that it does this by accurately monitoring the road and environment, and not by tagging after the vehicle in front of it, such as the case of most of the other cars that feature autonomous cruise control. This means that the S90 can also go autonomously when there is no other car around – a leap forward.

Genesis


Genesis is a brand under the control of Hyundai, which is set to house the company’s line of luxury cars. It is off to a great start, with its flagship model, the Genesis G90 targeting the Mercedes S550 as its direct competitor – a very daring move. The tech behind the Genesis G90 might allow it to have a fair chance, though, considering the fact that the car comes with a similar level of luxury as the S550, and it’s not bad on the tech side either, incorporating several autonomous-driving features such as active cruise control, pedestrian detection or emergency braking system.

Technology is knowledge of tools and crafts used to facilitate people in different life aspects to generate efficiency and optimize time or money and all kinds of resources. Technology, in many societies, has helped develop advanced economies .Technology basically refers to tools or machines that may be utilized to solve real world issues or satisfy needs for the advantage of life. The rise of communication technology is a modern example, which has reduced barriers to human interaction and has helped produce new subcultures; the cyber culture that has been formed with computer and internet as its base. It is not a must that all technology boosts culture in a creative way. Many technological processes produce unwanted by products, such as pollution reduces natural resources, and also damage the Earth or its environment. A good example of this is the use of machines, cars, etc, in such a way that it increases the contamination in environment, by producing a huge amount of CO2 that enhances the consequences of global warming.



The term information technology has also ballooned these days to encompass many aspects of computers and technology and this term is more familiar than ever before. Auto manufacturing business is flourishing and the cars are becoming more convenient and luxurious. The vehicles are improving in designs, quality, and safety with the help of new technologies. Some of the technologies are becoming common in the car while few technologies are only available in expensive cars (e.g., Audi, Ferrari etc). Touch Pad Steering

Touch pad steering technology helps to enhance the driver’s attention, while he is driving the car. It gives the detail about speed, fuel gauge etc on the windscreen. Low weight will require less energy to run and hence high speeds can be achieved and more distance can be covered in one gallon of oil. The new exterior material that might be seen in the future cars will be carbon fiber. This material is presently used in sports equipments and bicycles. It is durable yet very light.

The latest development in securing the cloud storage feature is the introduction of biometric recognition which is being implemented by BioID. This will be specific to Intel’s SSO and has been set out for users just earlier this month. Biometric scans will not require for you to always have access to a finger print reader or any other scanner for that matter in fact it will run of any camera which may be available to you such as a webcam or the webcams integrated in most laptops which are available to day.

Other harmful software such as spyware which takes note of keystrokes or take any other strategy to figure out the users Cloud credentials will all be of no use as cloud storage will no longer require users to access their data through such a channel. Intel SSO will be the new gateway through which users have to make their way to get their data stored on the cloud and it sounds to be a very secure, simple and easy to use approach.

Probable limitations

This is a great step forward when speaking of securing certain data, though another problem lies in the fact that the data itself is stored on a server somewhere else and has to be accessed online. It is understood that software such as brute force attacks or key loggers will be of no use since there is no key or code to uncover or decrypt however as one is inside their account on cloud and viewing their information which is remotely stored they are using an internet connection. This means that if someone was to attempt to use spyware which would allow the browsers history to be stored; they have in a way gained access. More so software such as Firesheep are designed to intercept data packets, once again doing the same job of providing someone with the valuable data with out having to break in themselves. It may not grant them access to all the data of the user on the cloud though the data which was visited during one spell will be able to be viewed as the pages themselves are what would have been stored or transmitted. In this respect hackers and others with the same mind set can gain access to information you may have stored and have accessed.

2020 Future Vision of Information Technology

Information technology is a highly important aspect today. Having the ability to transfer data, store data and keep it safe is crucial in many ways. Without information technology many medical facilities and corporations would find it difficult to keep information stored securely.
Computers allow users to communicate with many people at once or in far away places. It stands to reason that will the development of better technology yearly, computers will play a vital role in the ongoing support of information technology in the future.
Computers allow users now to do many things such as writing much faster than a traditional typewriter or pen and paper would do. They also make it very possible to keep track of people, conduct business globally much easier than before and organize and store multiple files.
They also make education possible from remote locations and provide
communication that far outreaches what a traditional telephone could ever do. Of course the human brain is far more advanced than a typical home computer.
Our brains allow us to keep track of things as well and to remember faces and names, find entertainment, love others and enjoy the simpler things in life.
The future of information technology may very well involve using computers to enhance the human brain. Common computers are expected to possess the same or nearly the same capabilities as the human brain in the future.
In another twenty five years or so it may be very likely that you will be able to have a computer that will possess the ability to feel emotions and have spiritual experiences. Of course this prediction will be met with skepticism as all others have been in the past.
The first gasoline powered vehicle was met with much scrutiny as was the first airplane. Society as a whole does not generally accept things that it can not understand or control. Believing that scientific technology can produce a computer that is capable of human emotion is so far-fetched that many simply will have to see it to believe it.
It does stand to reason however, that if developments have come as far as they have today, then having a better and more efficient information technology in the future is virtually a given.
More advanced computers that can help those with memory loss problems or virtually run your entire brain may seem too far in sci-fi land to believe but stranger things have happened.
Medical science has come a long way since the turn of the twentieth century. Many things have come into play that were never believed to be possible. The world may not ever see a computer that will retain memory of an individual’s life, but then again it may.
The computers in question will have the ability to hold images, videos and anything else that the memory retains within the human brain. Information will be kept forever, which will make it much easier to conduct personal and professional business.
Those who acquire Alzheimer’s Disease will have the ability to retain their memories and their personal life information in spite of the disease that typically takes all that away.
Keeping your personal life information and history safely stored in a computer may seem like a reach beyond belief but it very well may happen in the foreseeable future.


In the Future We Will Have Sixth Sense

In everyday life we use our five senses to get information about an object. By combining those informationĂ‚  we can take further actions or not (if we just wanted to familiarize ourselves with that object). But sometimes, we feel that something is missing, that there is something more. Now, we have a SixthSense that can help us and provide additional information. It can also help us in many other ways which we will see later.
SixthSense is developed at MIT by Pranav Mistry. The SixthSense prototype is comprised of a pocket projector, a mirror and a camera. Both the projector and the camera are connected to the mobile computing device in the user’s pocket. The projector projects visual information enabling surfaces, walls and physical objects around us to be used as interfaces; while the camera recognizes and tracks user’s hand gestures and physical objects using computer-vision based techniques. The software program processes the video stream data captured by the camera and tracks the locations of the colored markers (visual tracking fiducials) at the tip of the  fingers using simple computer-vision techniques. The current prototype system costs approximate $350 to build.



SixthSense can provide us additional information about an object but it can also help us to perform everyday actions in much more comfortable way. For example, you can dial a phone number on your palm.




We have seen a lot of futuristic movies where people read newspapersĂ‚  that contain a video beside text. By using SixthSense that no longer is a fiction.
